Welcome to Bhutan – the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, our representative will greet you and escort you to Thimphu. After check-in, take time to acclimatize and enjoy your first taste of Bhutanese cuisine.
Evening Activity:
- Tashichho Dzong (View at Night): Originally built in 1641 and later renovated by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, this fortress houses key government offices and the monastic body. While interior visits are limited to after 5 PM, the nearby nine-hole golf course offers a scenic photo opportunity.
After breakfast, depart Thimphu and drive toward Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass. This historic town was once Bhutan's capital and continues to hold spiritual significance.
