Day 01 :
Arrival in Paro

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your local guide. After settling into your hotel, take some time to relax and acclimate to the serene surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may embark on a leisurely exploration of Paro town, visiting local markets and getting a glimpse of Bhutanese daily life. Enjoy your first taste of Bhutanese cuisine during dinner.

Day 02 - 03 :
Punakha & Wangdue Valley

Journey through the scenic Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 chortens, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. Descend into the lush Punakha Valley to visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the surrounding countryside, including traditional villages and terraced rice fields. Engage with local artisans and perhaps participate in a traditional cooking demonstration.

Day 04 - 05 :
Jakar (Bumthang)

Travel to the spiritual heartland of Bhutan, Bumthang Valley, known for its ancient monasteries and rich cultural heritage. Visit Jakar Dzong, also known as the "Castle of the White Bird," and explore nearby temples such as Kurjey Lhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang. Stroll through quaint villages, interacting with locals and learning about their traditional lifestyles. Experience the unique flavors of Bumthang's renowned buckwheat pancakes and local cheeses. 

Day 06 :
Tang Valley (Bumthang)

Embark on a scenic drive to the remote Tang Valley, offering insights into rural Bhutanese life. Visit the Ogyen Choling Palace Museum, which provides a fascinating glimpse into the region's history and aristocratic lifestyle. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the tranquil surroundings of the valley. Return to Jakar in the evening, reflecting on the day's immersive experiences.

Day 07 :
Trongsa

Proceed to Trongsa, the ancestral home of Bhutan's royal family. Explore the impressive Trongsa Dzong, strategically perched on a ridge overlooking the Mangde Chhu river. Visit the nearby Ta Dzong, a watchtower that now houses a museum showcasing Bhutanese history. Stroll through the town's quaint streets, engaging with local shopkeepers and artisans.

Day 08 - 09 :
Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley

Travel to the glacial valley of Phobjikha, a haven for the endangered black-necked cranes during the winter months. Visit the Gangtey Monastery, an important center of the Nyingma school of Buddhism. Enjoy nature walks through the valley's pristine landscapes, observing the unique flora and fauna. Engage with the local community, learning about their conservation efforts and traditional practices. 

Day 10 - 11 :
Thimphu

Arrive in Bhutan's capital, Thimphu, blending modernity with tradition. Visit landmarks such as the National Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Dordenma statue, and the Tashichho Dzong. Explore the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Institute for Zorig Chusum to gain insights into Bhutanese culture and arts. Stroll through the bustling weekend market, sampling local delicacies and purchasing handicrafts.

Day 12 :
Paro Valley

Return to Paro and delve deeper into its rich history. Visit the Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery with intricate woodwork and murals. Explore the Ta Dzong, now housing the National Museum, offering a comprehensive overview of Bhutanese heritage. Take a leisurely walk through the town, interacting with locals and visiting traditional shops. 

Day 09 :
Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger's Nest, perched on a cliffside 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The trail offers breathtaking views and passes through pine forests adorned with prayer flags. Upon reaching the monastery, immerse yourself in its spiritual ambiance and marvel at its architectural splendor. Descend and enjoy a traditional hot stone bath to rejuvenate after the trek.

Day 10 :
Departure
