This immersive 12-day adventure combines dramatic alpine trekking, glacial valleys, and authentic highland culture. Along the route, you’ll witness breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains including Jitchu Drake and Gangchenta, while passing through remote yak-herder settlements and untouched landscapes.

Day 01: Arrival in Paro (2,200m)
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where your guide will receive you. Transfer to your hotel and spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude.
Take a relaxed walk through Paro town and enjoy a gentle introduction to Bhutan.

Day 02: Paro Cultural Exploration
Visit key cultural landmarks including the National Museum of Bhutan and Paro Rinpung Dzong.
Continue to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples.

Day 03: Paro – Drukgyel Dzong to Gunitsawa (2,850m)
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Drive to Drukgyel Dzong and begin your trek through fertile valleys and terraced fields. Pass through the Gunitsawa checkpoint before continuing to your campsite set in a scenic meadow.

Day 04: Gunitsawa to Soi Thangthangkha (3,750m)
Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
Follow the Pa Chu River through forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron. The gradual ascent offers occasional views of Mount Jomolhari.

Day 05: Soi Thangthangkha to Jangothang (4,080m)
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Climb above the treeline into a wide glacial valley. Stop for lunch at a yak-herder camp before reaching Jangothang, one of Bhutan’s most spectacular campsites with close-up views of Mount Jomolhari.

Day 06: Acclimatization Day – Jangothang
A rest day for acclimatization with optional hikes offering panoramic views of surrounding peaks, including Jitchu Drake.
Interact with local yak herders and explore the valley at a relaxed pace.

Day 07: Jangothang to Lingzhi (4,010m)
Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
Cross Nyelila Pass (4,800m), one of the trek’s major highlights, offering sweeping Himalayan views. Descend to Lingzhi village and visit Lingzhi Dzong.

Day 08: Lingzhi to Shodu (4,080m)
Trek Duration: 7–8 hours
Cross the high Yelila Pass (4,820m), the most challenging section of the trek. Enjoy panoramic mountain views before descending into the Shodu Valley.

Day 09: Shodu to Barshong (3,600m)
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Follow river valleys through forests of rhododendron and juniper. Visit the ruins of Barshong Dzong along the way.

Day 10: Barshong to Dodena – Transfer to Thimphu (2,350m)
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Descend through dense forests alongside a flowing river until reaching Dodena, where your vehicle awaits. Transfer to Thimphu.
Overnight: Thimphu
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 11: Thimphu to Paro
Explore Thimphu’s key sites including the National Memorial Chorten and Tashichho Dzong.
In the afternoon, drive back to Paro.

Day 12: Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
